The Portland Timbers will host Argentine power Independiente in a friendly on July 26, the club announced on Friday.
Portland has already played Ajax in an international club friendly and has friendlies with Club America and West Brom also on its July slate.
Independiente, which won the 2010 Copa Sudamericana, is currently in fifth place in Argentina's Primera Division but is just five points behind first-place Velez Sarsfield.

New York Red Bulls forward Thierry Henry is the No. 1 ranked player in the league for the second consecutive month, according to the latest rankings.
Rounding out the top 10, Henry is followed by Alvaro Fernandez, Futty Danso, Nat Borchers, Landon Donovan, Omar Gonzalez, George John, Chris Wondolowski, Luke Rodgers and Ugo Ihemelu.

NEAGLE WINS GOAL OF THE WEEK
Lamar Neagle's strike against Real Salt Lake on Saturday not only won the game, but it also won MLS' Goal of the Week honors.
Neagle, who came on as an early substitute after Alvaro Fernandez went down with a hamstring injury, beat Nick Rimando with a blast from just outside the area to give Seattle a 2-0 lead, and the Sounders held on to win, 2-1.
