Personal fitness preparation can make the difference between an incredibly successful attempt to improve health and fitness at the same time, and a tragic early end to someone?s life. There are so many people in the world who believe that health and fitness are basically the same, and that everything which enhances one will automatically improve the other. This is a total fallacy, as it is possible to exercise and improve fitness in a healthy or an unhealthy way. This will depend on your age, but the final figure will be adjusted depending on your existing level of fitness. Stay below this heart rate figure as you exercise, and you will be burning fat, improving your level of fitness and your health at the same time. You will then be fully prepared to expand your fitness effort to strength and endurance training.

One of the most important preparations for fitness training is to work out exactly what it is you are trying to achieve. If it is strength, you need to know which type of sport you want the strength for. If you are a golfer, for example, you will want as much strength as possible in the muscle groups which help the club head move through the ball at speed. The body builder style training which adds bulk to the muscles as well as strength would actually diminish a golfer?s performance by restricting movement and speed.

You must be very prepared when you go into exercising so you only focus on the parts you need to focus on. If you are heavy then you should consider the treadmill, if you are very weak and not overweight then heavy lifting should be considered. One thing that is very important is to ask for a doctors advice before starting any training.
