Question by ACA12354: Teaching Career?
I am on my way to becoming a teacher. I am extremely nervous about it, however. It seems like there are consequently many people saying it is SUCH a hard job ? not worth the pay ? and not a career I would enjoy at all. Still, there is consequentlymething tugging at me to woo this path. I am just scared I am going to get into it and not be able to help the students the way I dream of helping them. Will I have help with my lesson plans? Will I know what to do when it comes to dealing with parents? Will I even be able to TEACH the students?
Any advice, or maybe a few ?words of wisdom? would be really appreciated?.
Thanks! : )

I?d fret about things you can control. Get great grades or know consequentlymebody in one of the schools you?d like to teach in.
Get other teachers to watch you student teach and get recommendations from them.
If you already have kids that need daycare, don?t bother getting into teaching without a fantastic support system at home, in that you?ll be burning the candle on both ends and will burnout quickly.
Don?t focus on the money, fret about whether teaching will make you feel satisfied. In the end, the size of the check won?t make you intend to to come back the next day.
