An MRI last Friday revealed a slight tear in the?meniscus of that right knee and on Sunday Dr. Lee Kaplan ?of ?THE University of Miami recommended that A-Rod go under the knife to repair the injury.?Yankees manager Joe Girardi said on Sunday that, if Rodriguez opted for surgery, which he has, undergoing the procedure now would be ideal given the Yankees will have four days off during the All-Star break. The surgery will send A-Rod to the DL for 4-6 weeks, crippling fantasy teams everywhere. Despite?Alex Rodriguez?s current 85-at-bat homerless streak, which is the longest single-season drought of his career, Alex is still batting a decent .295 with 53 runs, 13 HR, 52 RBI and and OBP of .366.
